Al discovers video

Jo and I have been taking care of our grand niece, Abagail, for the last couple of days.  It seemed like the perfect time to discover video production on a shoe string budget.  Since my old digital camera has video capabilities, I set tu the tripod and shot some movies.  Now it was time to edit the videos, mix in some audio tracks and publish the videos.  I found a free video editor, VideoPad, at www.nchsoftware.com

The next hurdle was to do something with a sound track.  It is necessary to use public domain software to prevent problems when posting the video on Facebook or Youtube.  I decided to use a theme for some background music, with kid friendly music and appropriate song titles.

The videos are at aylard.ca/content/video-gallery

In the past I never saw a good reason to shoot video, but I enjoyed putting this quick clips together.  The clips are not meant to have a high production value, but are intended as updates to Abby's parents and grandparents (and as a keepsake so we can remember this stage of Abby's life).
