Sympatico High Speed Internet
I've been suffering through some very server internet problems with my Bell Sympatico High Speed Internet connection. It's been 3 days now since I reported the problem and so far have been told that they will escalate the issue. I've also logged the problem with the Bell techs at DSLReports. This is the 7 Mb/s package.

After working with Bell for
After working with Bell for over two weeks to get reasonable speed and reliability from the Bell Internet service, the situation has come to a head. Cogeco was here on Sunday to install their 7Mbps internet service. The Cogeco service has consistantly tested at over 7Mbps download and 800Kpbs upload. It's so nice to finally have a fast and reliable connection. The problems with Bell had been going on for so long I had forgotten what reasonable service is like.
To make the situation with Bell worse, when I phoned to cancel my internet service I was informed that I needed to give 30 days notice. When I informed Bell that the notice should not apply in this case since Bell was not able to provide the service as guaranteed in their agreement, I was told that I would be billed for the next 30 days. So the fight begins, there is no way in hell that I'm paying Bell for a service that they were not able to provide.
